Project Title: Manipulating Artificial Intelligence in Video Games

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

This year we have selected to do our project on the Artificial intelligence that is found in video games. We would like to be able to design an artificial intelligence program that could possibly sneak around, ambush, use Guerilla Warfare tactics, and maybe even run from the player in an over-glorified cat-and-mouse manner.

We are currently comprised of five members, each of which have their own specific tasks. Two of our members are in control of project development, which includes telling the other three idiots what to do next. One member is in charge of research and presentation, for he is the best at presenting and is currently our PowerPoint God. The other two poor saps are the programmers. These two are in charge of the programming of the program, which ideally shall be in the tens of thousands of lines, and also in charge of the coffee machine.

We have opted to use the Quake C variant of programming, for we are very well versed in the Quake environment and how it works. Using this language and pulling ideas from other projects/codes, we intend to design this program to act as an advanced form of Artificial intelligence. After the designing phase, we would like to try to implement it into the Quake environment or even an environment of our own design, and test our subjects to find if we succeeded.

We have some knowledge about Quake C, C++, Java, HTML, and Visual Basic. This knowledge will hopefully increase our chances of writing a successful Artificial Intelligence program. Ideally, we shall present our final report in a combination of text, correct that: a lot of text, and hopefully a graphical representation of our AI at work.
