Project Title: Population Projection in a Simulated Environment

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

It will not be long before the expanding human population needs exceed the planet's carrying capacity. In this project we will estimate when our planet is no longer able to maintain the population based on land availability, which will be made up of arable land, pasture, forest, sea space, and occupied land.

Previous estimates stated that 1.721 hectares of surface area is the ecological footprint for each person and that there are 5.1039x1016 hectares available on the surface of the earth.
