Challenge Team Abstract
Our project will be based on the immediate human survival of multiple thermonuclear blasts, based on the immediate fatalities caused by the initial explosions, the exposure to radiation, destruction of food and water supplies, and the lack of unexposed shelter. Our team hopes to show that the effects of a nuclear war are so horrible as not to be worth any gain that might be realized by executing one. We will do this by determining the effects of a nuclear explosion on a US city, town, using a program written in C++. The reason why we feel that humanity will benefit from our project is that it will make our leaders think twice about involving themselves in a nuclear war, even if the enemy does use NBC weapons against our soldiers. Even though the communism in the former USSR republics has been defeated, it does not mean that the United States does not have enemies. For the future will be filled with Terroris groups planting biological weapons to achieve political goals, and who knows maybe World War III will be between the Peoples Republic of China, and the United States of America. That is why our project is important, to discourage the usage of Nuclear Weapons by any one, any nation, any third world terrorist group. Team Members Sponsoring Teachers Project Advisor(s) |
