    Area of Science: Biology

Project Title: Locating Exons and Inthons and Determing Amino Acid Sequences

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

This project will attempt to identify exons and inthons and determine amino acid sequences in previously unknown coding sequences. Exons and inthons will be identified by comparing them to known exons and inthons that have been discovered.

DNA triplets will be identified and nonsense codons will be removed in order to determine the amino acid sequences. C++ will be the language used for programming. Programming will include an original code written to locate specific triplet sequences. The DNA used will come from a species that is yet to be determined. Possibilities include aves, mammals or reptiles. Web page will include information on project and DNA.
