Project Title: In 2050, What sources of revenue will the navajo nation utilize?

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

The Navajo Nation is the size of West Virgina and is a sovergin nation. The problem is that in order for the nation to be considered soverign, it must be self sufficent. The Navajo Nation's economy is largely based on natural resources. Thus, in 50 years will the nation have enough resources to actually bring in revenue or how much of the minerals will be remain?

The importance of projecting resource reserves is essential in understanding the economic well-being of a future Navajo Nation. If the nation uses all sources of revenue, future Navajos will have to rely solely on the United States for income, and with this, the patirotic identity and pride will surely switch too.

In working on this project i hope to find that in 50 years the Nation might find its self merely a puppet mineral resource center. This mainly due to the fact that the yearly consumption of corporations will exceed the many other areas of resource reserves.

We will model yearly consumption by utilizing the annual Tribal reports, and predicting growth by use facts from the 1950's to the present. We should then be able to get a model that will estimate the revenue outputs in 2050. Researching by asking tribal officals, looking in goverment documents, and researching new methods in predicting resource depletion will propel us in finishing and maybe actually getting some clear results.
