Project Title: Are we alone in our Universe?

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

Are we alone in our universe? We use the Drake Equation to find out. The Drake Equation was developed by Frank Drake in 1961 as wasy to focus on the factors which determine how many intelligent communicating civilizations there are in our galaxy. If life evolved(developed) naturally on earth, as most scientists believe, it has probably evolved somewhere else too. There are so many billions of stars similar to the sun that many of them must have planets. Amoung those planets there might be with conditions like those on Earth. If so, then we are almost certainly listening and observe. For more than 30 years, radio telescopes have been pointed at the stars to try to pick up any radio signals from distant civilizations-but so far without success. The search for life in our universe goes on, and many continue forever.
