Challenge Team Interim Report
At what speed should you kick a soccer ball to get it into the net at a given destination from x feet from the goal? We will use a few equations to determine this. We will see what force is needed and at what angle to kick a soccer ball into the goal, say at the upper right hand corner. We will write a c++ program to find force and velocity to help with us in this problem. We will also see how effects of gravity will change the balls trajectory. We are hoping to get the ball to the net in a straight line, at a determined angle. We are assuming that the ball will take a straight path towards the net and the vacuum is perfect. Right now we have all of the necessary equations to help us. Next thing we will do is get the equations into one simple math model and put it into a C++ program. Then we will start going over the results. Team Members Sponsoring Teachers Project Advisor(s) |
