Project Title: Ebola Out Break Survival

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

One of the deadliest viruses on this planet is Ebola Zaire, which has a fatality rate ranging anywhere from 60 - 95 %. So far there is no treatment for victims of the ebola virus being the reason why it was chosen as the biological agent in our project. Our project will eventually allow the user to input the short name of a country to determine how the population of that country would be affected should the entire population be exposed to ebola which has an assumed infection rating of about 85%, meaning that anywhere from 51 to 81% of that nations population would be fatalities of the virus.

In our project we are hoping to demonstrate that an attack using a biological weapon would be so destructive that it would not be a reasonable weapon of war, because its effects on a nation would be catastrophic, yet at the same time the risks of the epidemic spreading into the country that fired the weapon, or country's that are its allies would not be acceptable. The major goal of this project is to deter any nation, terrorist group, or organization from using a biological weapon in an attack.
