Project Title: Missile Trajectory
My project for the Supercomputing Challenge is about hitting a moving / static target by a missile. The reason for choosing it as my evaluation is because it is the most complicated program I can imagine. It requires a lot of computing power to calculate the trajectory of the missile in real time therefore both my thinking and the power of the supercomputers are tested. It also helps me to have a better understanding of physics in prior to the AP test I will take next year.
I divided the problem into two parts. One is for the static target, the other is for the moving target. For the first one it is much easier than the second thought because the path of the target is constantly changing, I have to find a formula to calculate the position the target will be beforehand.
