Project Title: Noise Reduction Through Destructive Interference of Longitudinal Waveforms

Excessive noise is distracting and reduces productivity by interfering with concentration. Moreover, it can also permanently damage a human's auditory system. Hence, reduction of overall noise, especially in a home or office setting, is both psychologically and physically beneficial.

Our project will focus on the calculation of the interference points, both constructive and destructive, in concurrent conic sound waves. These calculations will enable us to develop practical noise reduction techniques by utilizing destructive interference of the unwanted sounds.

Advanced mathematics will be used in the project due to the relationship between trigonometric function waves and sound waves. Computers will be used both for computations and for visual representations of the longitudinal waves.
