Project Title: Robotics

 

 

Robotics has become a popular science in the world today. Major advances in technology have enabled us to fulfill our imaginations. Robotics are used everyday for everything from cleaning to putting together computer chips, some can be as small as a quarter or as large as a car.

Our group is going to build a robot and try to search for hazardous substances. So we could prevent humans from making contact with such hazards.

Goal: What we are trying to accomplish with our project is to design and program a robot that is capable of handling hazardous materials. The hardest problem with this will be to program the robot. We will get robotic kits to help us to accomplish our goal, also we have found other projects on the internet that will help us with information, examples,etc.

Plan: Our robot will have to be capable of lifting certain quantities of hazardous materials.

Progress so far: We have made little progress to attain the materials needed for this project. We will begin programming in C++ in January. Hopefully we will have the robot by the end of January. We are still in need of a mentor.
