AiS Challenge Expo and Awards Ceremony Schedule

Here is the (tentative) schedule of events for April 2003:

Wednesday, April 2
  Final written reports due
  Register to come to the Expo and Awards Ceremony

Wednesday, April 9
  Scholarship applications due

Friday, April 11 
  Submissions for the Best HTML version of a final report due

Wednesday, April 16
  Judges conference call - about half a dozen finalists will be announced.

Sunday, April 20
  Most teams travel to Los Alamos, check in at the LA Inn.
  Relax on your own in the evening

Monday, April 21
  7:00  Breakfast at the hotel
  8:30  The previously announced finalists will give 30 minute
          presentations to a panel of judges between 8:30 and 11:30
        Everyone else will set up their posters and give their
          presentations to three judges at pre-assigned half-an-hour
          time slots between 8:30 and 11:00
        These presentations will be in room 203 in the Research Park
          adjacent to the Los Alamos National Laboratory
        After their presentations, teams will be able to take tours of
          Los Alamos National Laboratory
  11:30 Poster session judges caucus
  11:30 Students and teachers vote for best technical poster and
        graphical logo
  12:00 Lunch
  12:30 Poster session judges announce additional finalists
  1:00-4:00 Poster session finalists make 30 minute presentations
              to a panel of judges
  1:00-4:00 Scholarship interviews with Scholarship judges
  1:00-5:00 Tours (morning finalists will give their presentations
              as part of the tours)
  5-6  Dinner (on your own)
  5-9  Dinner/discussion for judges

Tuesday, April 22
 7:00  Breakfast at the hotel
 8:30  Travel to Los Alamos National Laboratory 
 9-11  Awards Ceremony at the Physics Division Auditorium
11:30  Lunch Reception and media interviews in the side rooms of the Otowi Cafeteria
12:30  Depart Los Alamos
