Using the constraints given in the StarLogo program it would take us 18 lambing seasons to reach 100 per cent Churros in our herd. Lambing seasons could range from two seasons a year to one every year depending on the condition of the range that year. Good forage can mean a higher number of lambing seasons. However we do not recommend lambing more than once a year as multiple lambing seasons causes undue duress on the ewes. Rather we suggest patience!
It is important to remember that there are some distinct differences between the math model and the StarLogo model. The StarLogo model is strictly a population model without taking into account the economics of selling surplus stock, selling fleeces, etc. The StarLogo model does not account for buying outside Churro stock and putting it into the herd as we did in the math model.
