Have you ever wondered what effect cities have on the Rio Grande water quality? Our project is to project what is occurring downstream between Bernalillo and Socorro counties. From data analysis of several sample sites around Albuquerque, Las Lunas, Belen, and the Bosque Del Apache Refuge, we will project what will be the characteristics of the water quality at the end of the river in Socorro County. We will use chemical and macro invertebrate analysis to determine quality of quality along the Rio Grande (QWARG).
