Proposal: On the Navajo Reservation, Diabetes has become the main issue over the years. Each year the number Navajo people who are diagnosed with diabetes has increased greatly. Diabetes is a disease characterized by persistent high blood sugar levels. The purpose of this project is to find out how long it will take genetically, for a population of 5000 people to be diagnosed with diabetes if it starts with one family that had x number of children and x number of them had diabetes.
