Project Title:

Tracking the Spread of Vesicular Stomatitis

Vesicular stomatitis is a disease found in animals such as horses and cattle. A recent outbreak of this disease has recently been found in New Mexico. The purpose of this project is to produce a computer program that determines the rate at which the disease spreads in the United States. We will start by calculating the rate at which black flies (the vector of this disease) spread vesicular stomatitis. We can then use this data to crate a coputer model which can trace the spread of this disease.
