Smog Busters
In Los Angeles there is an immense smog problem. Smog has many harmful effects. Among them is that it reduces visibility and affects plant life rapidly. It kills them and stunts their growth. Breathing in smog can also kill lung tissue, being a danger to human health. Because of these problems, we plan to eliminate smog and its damaging effects. We are going to create enough steam to condense with the smog, causing rainfall. The variables involved include good weather. There will be no winds, storms, nor any other weather patterns, other than the continual fog. To heat enough water to make the required amount of steam, we plan to use a heating plant. This plant will be placed on a small island off the coast of California, close to Los Angeles. We think the steam generated from the plant will react with the smog, creating rain. The smog will thin, and eventually disappear.
