Project Title:

CAN ANYONE HEAR US?

Our team is doing a project on the probability that other life will receive the radio signals we have sent into space the last fifty years. We will use a modified form of the Drake Equation as a skeleton to plug in data from the internet and other sources about the rate of star formation, the fraction of stars having a planetary system, the number of planets having an environment suitable for life, the probability that life will develop on a habitable planet, and the probability that life will reach a level of intelligence so they can receive and respond to radio signals from Earth.
