Project Title:

Air Pollution

In our world today we face many problems, one major problem is pollution. Pollution aline has destroyed many rain forests, causeing acid rain. Many things cause pollution, but the major pollutants are cars and eletric generating power plants. These power plants produce a gas called sulfur dioxide. This creates smog, or a light brownish color in the atmosphere. This is created when fossil fuels are burned and released into the air. These power plants are located in the Four Corners.Which is in New Mexico. They are rated number two in pollution. Without the use of these power plants electricity would no longer exist. So it is nessecary to burn these minerals. There is so much sulfur dioxide that is released. That it is impossible to shut down these plants. We are determine to find the amount of sulfur dioxide being released. and if possible a more efficient way of reducing the amount of this substace into the air. It is important for the plant life and future use of the earth.
