Project Title:

The Tidal Moon

Our Project deals with the moon, its effect on the tides, and its slow drift away from the earth. The earth's moon is slowly escaping its orbit around the earth. As the moon moves away from the earth its effect on the tides is diminished. We are attempting to gauge the distance from the earth that the moon will be at future dates and how the tides will be affected by the evacuation of this celestial body. The predictions of the change in tidal patterns will have an affect on the predictions of the weather and the world's general climate.
