For centuries people have wondered when or if their countries pop. will exceed the food production. We will use the two most populated countries, the US and China. In our project we will make a graph to see when the pop. will exceed the food production and our following stats will determine when this will occur: Birth Rate & Death Rate and will be taken into account.

We will use fortran90 to graph this problem. We feel that we should use fortran90 opposed to C++ simply because we feel that fortran90 is more user friendly and better to use since it is older language than that of C++.

Our progress at this time is that we made a concept map which ties all of our rates that we decided to use. Also we have spoken to two of our mentors who have helped us out a lot. Their names are Neal Pickett and Florian Sclotky. We feel that Mr. Pickett helped us out much more than Mr. Schlotky. Mr. Pickett told us what we should do and how we are to approach the subject.

We expect, in the near future, that we will be able to accurately contemplate the point in which our population will exceed the rate of food being produced. Include the definition of the problem, plan for solving the problem using a supercomputer, progress you have made to this time, and the results you expect to get.
