Welcome to the site of the 1998 New Mexico High School Supercomputing Challenge Summer Teacher Training Session website. The Summer Teacher Training Session is put on by New Mexico Highlands University, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and New Mexico Technet for two weeks in early June and one week in August. The purpose of this training is to educate the sponsoring teachers of Supercomputing Challenge teams about the various aspects of the Challenge -- from project inception and design to computer programming to completing the final report. In this fashion, the teachers are better prepared to deal with project and technical issues at their high schools. 1998 June Session Information Schedule of Events - A comprehensive listing of classes and topics covered from June 7 to June 19.
