    School Name: Springer High School

Area of Science: Earth and Space Sciences: Meteorology and Astrophysics

Project Title: Colonization of a New Generation

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

Philosophy: Our team's philosophy is that homes of the future will be in outer space. Increasing demand for fuel on earth drives our team to research alternative fuel to support space stations.

Hypothesis: We feel that it is possible to capture a passing meteor and tap its kinetic energy to supply fuel in space colonies.

Mathematical Modeling: Our team will write mathematical equations that will produce data on the locations of space stations and passing meteors.

Computational Analysis: We will try to write code in C++ that will use geometry and other mathematical equations.

Scope of Question: Will we be able to locate and extract enough energy from a meteor to refuel a space station?
