Project Title: The Destruction of Mars

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

Everyone has seen the movies about massive asteroids crashing into planets and destroying them. The threat of Armageddon is real. An asteroid could crash into a planet in our Solar System and cause many problems.

Our project is going to show the effect of an asteroid smashing into Mars. We plan on showing the amount of energy needed to destroy the planet and the amount of energy that will be released from the explosion. We plan on showing the amount of energy in terms of TNT. The main factors we are taking into account are the size of the asteroid, the speed of the astroid, the gravitational pull of Mars, and Mars's atmosphere.
