Abstract
Interim
Final Report

The purpose of this project is to develop a piece of equipment that will harness lightning when it strikes, and direct it's current to a generator for distribution. We are going to call our program "Generation X", and attempt to to simulate lightning directed to various metal plates. These metal plates will be connected to a generator, and that in turn will be connected to a sensor that will indicate if it recieved an electrical charge. We are going to use a scaled-down model of the recieveing plate, the generator, and the sensor for experimentation. WE intend to use dupercomputers to calculate the number of houses that can recieve a certatin amount of energy judging by the magnitude of the strike. We will devise a magnitude chart to base the formula on. In the end we hope to be able to find a way to switch power back on that has been cut off due to lightning strikes in the first place, by using the power of the second strike.
