Area of Science: Digital Signal Processing/Data Encryption

Project Title: Using Unique Human Voice Characteristics For Positive Identification In A Secure Environment

Abstract
Interim
Final Report

Building on our project from last year, which used digital signals derived from a WAV audio file and the mathematical technique known as Fourier Transforms to identify a human voice, we plan to advance this project by increasing the accuracy of identification from 20% to an optimal value of 100%. The major new dimension in our project will be the encryption of all data utilized in identifying a human voice. The use of a security key for encryption will truly add a new dimension of security to a project whose main purpose is to provide a secure means of identification in high-profile environments.
