Prevention of Tornadoes by Explosives-Final Report-Introduction
In the beginning, our team was interested in weather phenomena such as lighting, hurricanes, and tornadoes. With the help of our mentor, Jeff Ganley, we narrowed our topic down to the simulation of tornadoes. Our project determines if explosives could disrupt or stop a tornado. We tested the amount of disruption by placing firecrackers in our tornado simulator. A computer program was created, which simulated and helped predict the amount of explosive that would be needed to stop or disrupt a tornado. We have learned a lot about weather phenomena, especially tornadoes. It has been a great learning experience.
