We plan to write a computer program in C++ stimulating a WIMP and Anti - WIMP orbiting the sun. WIMP stands for Weakly Interacting Massive Particles. Imagine a WIMP orbiting the sun…as it orbits it looses energy and so it falls into the sun. There it meets and annihilates with an anti - WIMP. This annihilation gives off gamma rays. These gamma rays can be detected by the Milagro detector in the Jemez mountains of New Mexico. Our advisor, Todd Haines, is a scientist in the Milagro project.
