How to Submit Your Interim Report

We have placed the template file for the interim reports into everyone's mode accounts in the public_html directory. Please log into mode and edit the interim9900.shtml file, per instructions below:

cd public_html
ls
pico interim9900.shtml (just like you did the abstract)

You can see what your interim will look like by pointing your web browser to

http://mode.lanl.k12.nm.us/~chxxxxxx/interim9900.shtml

where chxxxxxx is your mode login.

When you are satisfied with the result, enter

submit interim9900.shtml
  • This last command will send your interim report to the challenge staff. Soon After it will be posted to the Interim Page of the Challenge web site.

  • You should see a confirmation message stating you have successfully submitted the appropriate file.

  • Only one person per team needs to submit an interim, but each team DOES need to submit an interim by January 7, 2000.

  • The interims will be posted to the www.challenge.nm.org web page soon after the file has been submitted. It will not appear instantaneously.
