World Hunger
Our goal is to solve the world problem of world hunger. Through out time people in society have gone through life starving from malnutrition. The problem of hunger has grown even worse today for 842 million people across the world are going hungry (www.bread.org/hungerbasics/international.html). In essence, hunger is the most tremendous form of destitution, where individuals and families cannot afford to meet their most basic need. Hunger manifests itself in many ways other than starvation and famine. Most people who battle hunger deal with chronic undernourishment and vitamin or mineral deficiencies, which result in stunted growth, weakness and heightened susceptibility to illness (www.bread.org/hungerbasics/international.html). 153 million children under 5 in the developing world are underweight. Worse yet, 11 million children younger than 5 die every year, more than half from hunger-related causes (www.bread.org/hungerbasics/international.html).
Our goal is to use algebraic equations and information on food growth to work on ways of generating enough food for the world population. We will also figure in cost to grow and ship the food to the world and where the best location to grow the crops would be.
