My project will be on bioremediation on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. In 1992 the Kenai Peninsula, located in Kenai, Alaska, had its fine glacial till material contaminated with 600-700 parts per million (ppm) of hydrocarbon contamination. The petroleum contaminated soil extended to 1,030 cubic yards. Therefore, I wanted to find out how much the difference in cost would be for bioremediation in the summer then in the winter for that site.
