Mathematical Analysis of the AIDS Virus

Mathematical Analysis of the AIDS Virus

Description

The topics that this project will deal with include medical science, probability, and statistics. It will deal with the spread of a disease in a selected third world country. The Program will take previously collected statistical information about the disease, find a mathematical function (curve, line, or exponential equation, etc...) that fits the data, predict possible future occurrences based on previous research as well as compute the possible margin of error in the predicted data. The mathematical operations which will most likely be applied include: margin of error, line equation fitting, second and third degree polynomials, as well as exponential equations. This program will be expected to predict the spread of said disease over a set period of time.
