The project we are working on deals with encryption and Windows security faults. We are ardently attempting to achieve a greater understanding of encryption and one-way hash functions. We are diligently learning the basics of encryption and C/C++ programming. To solve the problem of password security, we will need to tinker with the Windows OS itself. We will probably need more time to work on the project, into next semester, or even next year. So far, we have ben unsuccessful in procuring the l0phtcrack source code. We need assistance in obtaining this code, because it is vital in our goal to stop criminal hackers from getting passwords.
