Abstract: Soil erosion is a natural progression; however it becomes a problem when human action causes it to take place much faster than under natural conditions. On th Navajo Reservation intensive overgrazing has aided the wind and water to remove soil at a faster rate. The recovery from erosion might not be possible, however prevention measures can be taken to avoid future problems by making changes. Preventing soil erosion will involve changing the way people live, how they make a living, and how well they follow natural and man made laws regarding land.
