Abstract: We would like to learn how to use computer mathematics to predict the path of a soccer ball according to the impact and placement of the foot. We will record the results for both when the ball is moving and when the ball is still. We would also calculate where the goalie must be standing to deflect or miss the ball.
This problem is important because if we are able to see the path of the ball it could be possible to interpret it into a real soccer game. Thus in doing so, improve our gaming abilities. We plan on studying how a soccer ball and the human foot are shaped.
