Proposal: We are doing a behavioral simulation utilizing agent based modeling programs to model the evacuation of a defined building during a bombing/fire event. We would also like to see if people follow flocking and swarming paterns. We also plan to see if certain things in the buildings architecture affect how people could escape a fire with the fewest deaths by trampeling etc....
Randy Roberts, our mentor, is providing ideas and experience in modeling human behavior in the event of a crisis.
