Proposal: Definition of Problem: Is there a possible way to figure out the position of a black hole in space from the movement of celestial bodies around it? We will focus on the distorted movement of the bodies surrounding a black hole. Our program will focus on the movement a black hole causes to the surrounding bodies.
Purpose: The purpose is to model ways that we might be able to use in order to determine where a black hole is occurring. This information could be used to determine the intensity of a black hole as well as its position in space.
Desired Results: To create a program that would model where a black hole is occurring. We hope this program can model how a black hole can altar the position of the surrounding celestial bodies.
Plan of Action: We plan to use Starlogo to create and execute the program to model many different ways that we might be able to figure out the position of a black hole.
