Challenge Team Abstract

Team Number: 048 School Name: Los Alamos High School Area of Science: Geology Project Title: Geologic Modeling

Long Valley, Cilifornia is an area with intense geological activity. Using extensive geological data and supercomputing technologies, a model will be created of the geologic system. This model will make it possible to predict geologic activity and deduce past geologic activities. Several geologists are providing comprehensive data which will be the basis of the model. A computer program will be created which will analyze the data to create the model.
