Challenge Staff

Melany Cordova
Executive Director
Melany develops computer science curricula and professional learning for New Mexico educators. A mathematics graduate of Northern New Mexico College and longtime contributor to the New Mexico Computer Science Alliance, she brings broad experience in computer science education and a strong commitment to expanding computational learning statewide.

David Kratzer
Program Manager
David was a staff member at Los Alamos National Laboratory and has been involved in the Supercomputing Challenge since its founding in 1990. He served as Executive Director through January 2020, returned as Interim Executive Director in February 2022, and continues to support the program.

Karen Glennon
Teacher Sponsor & Program Support
Karen has sponsored Challenge teams from Jackson Middle School for many years. She has shepherded students through the Challenge from their early middle school years through their completion of high school.

Patty Meyer
Program Manager
Patty is a retired educator and has been working with the Challenge for many years.
