From the New Mexico Consortium.
Time to register for the 36th annual Supercomputing Challenge. The Supercomputing Challenge is a year-long marathon of creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. The 2025–2026 school year’s theme was Artificial Intelligence (AI), giving students the opportunity to explore one of the most exciting areas in science and technology.
The Supercomputing Challenge invites middle and high school students from across New Mexico to research, design, and present a computational science project using real high-performance computing resources. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced programmer, you’ll work with mentors, collaborate with teammates, and gain hands-on skills that will serve you well beyond the classroom.
This program is more than a competition. It’s a chance to tackle real-world challenges, explore the power of AI in science and engineering, and join a statewide community of innovators.
