Simulating what would happen in experiments with the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) satellites, I want to find the most efficient way of focusing or beaming large amounts of 2.5GHz wifi waves from a router to a yagi antenna. AFRL is trying to use large satellites that collect solar power and beam it down as wifi waves that can be collected with large antennas and then stored for use. My goal is to find the best shape or type of yagi antenna that will collect the most amount of electromagnetic waves and the parabolic dish behind the router that will reflect the most amount of waves to the antenna. We will measure and collect data through a small LECtenna connected to the yagi antenna. Once we find the most efficient way of doing this, that data can then be used at a larger scale in the future with wireless power, and faster reception.
