Turburclosis Bacterial Antibiotic Resistance

Drug resistant Tuberculosis is a problem because as Tuberculosis bacteria become resistant to more and more antibiotics the cost to treat Tuberculosis goes up, the treatment process becomes longer and being resistant to antibiotics turns a curable disease into a prolonged and often fatal disease. The purpose of this project is to model the change from treatable tuberculosis to drug resistant tuberculosis and show what factors play into treatment and the effect of tuberculosis. We plan to work on this project by using the data collected by the government and other scientific places and then model how drug resistant Tuberculosis affects treatment and what ways it can be prevented.
