Stem Cells For STEM

Problem: Injuries to the heart that result in the loss of cells, such as infarction, can progress to heart failure. Currently, there is no technology that can replace these cells to help slow down this process. However, scientists are looking into induced pluripotent stem-cardiomyocyte cells-which can be used for this reason.

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to further the understanding of these cells and their uses, especially since discoveries in this field can be used to create medicine, therapies, and other technologies.

Plan of action: I plan to design a machine-learning model that can predict the outcomes of induced pluripotent stem-cardiomyocyte cells.
