Projectile Motion

Proposal: In our project, we plan to use the programming language C++ to simulate projectile motion in a variety of different settings. Predicting the motion of objects through the atmosphere is important to calculate trajectories of objects. Calculating projectile trajectories would be beneficial to predicting where objects would land, such as crash sites of missing aircrafts. Our goal is to compute the range, impact angle, and airtime of a projectile in motion in complex situations unsolvable by hand. In order to accurately predict the motion of an object through our atmosphere, we must take into account a variety of factors. We plan on first gathering general information regarding projectile motion and the different settings it can be evaluated under. We will potentially contact a Computer Science Professor from UNM to assist us on the project as a whole.
