School security is a big thing recently since there had been a lot shootings and threats. We want
every school to feel secure, every staff member to work in safety, every student to know they
shouldn’t fear and every parent to not worry about their children at school. Me, Samantha
Gonzalez, and my team, composed of Kevin Ramos, Joel Lugo and Alex Duron, want every
school to have the most advanced security system. Schools are where we spend most of our time.
Where we meet our friends, build our personalities and most importantly where we learn to make
our dreams, for the future, a reality. The problem many schools are facing are threats that are real
or not. We propose an idea, that a software that would detect a possible threat and send an alert
to authorities. Another way that the software would help, is that the doors would be locked
electronically and open by a school I.D. that all student, staff and visitors. This would allow not
only for people that shouldn’t enter the school and if there is lockdown they would lock the
doors from that certain area. Another feature our program would have is that it would a gun on
campus. Those are our ideas to make school safe.
