Predator / Prey Relationship between Sheep and Wolves

Area of Science: Biology

Interim: My name is Trevor Wunsch, I am a sixth grade student at St. Thomas Aquinas School.

WHAT IS IT?
I am going to model a predator / prey relationship between sheep and wolves.
HOW IT WORKS
Made the grass patches, some green and some brown
Made sheep and wolves.
energy is 100
asked sheep and the wolves to move randomly
when each moves, it's energy level goes down
sheep loses 1 energy
wolves lose 2 energy
Grass gets energy from sunlight.
Sheep need to get energy by eating grass
If sheep is on green patch, it eats grass and gets 1 energy
If sheep's energy is zero, sheep dies
If sheep's energy is 150, then sheep has baby, then energy is divided by 2
Wolves get energy by eating sheep
if wolf eats a sheep and gets 10 energy
If wolf’s energy reaches 0 it dies
If wolf’s energy is 150 it has baby, then energy is divided by 2

HOW TO USE IT
Setup
Sliders tell how many animals to make
Go
starts the simulation
