Proposal: For our computer science project, our problem is ocean pollution. We are concerned about the ocean life dying to plastic and trash from the stuff we use.
If we don't stop then almost all ocean life will die. Ocean life is important for some reasons but the main reason why we are concerned about it is because we could use the dying fish to feed people. Also we could have a more beautiful ocean in general, as well as some forms of entertainment for us like fishing or aquariums. We could also be harming other animals we don't know that could be useful to us. These animals are unique! One last reason is that we feel like the poor animals don’t deserve to die for no cause, so we should at least try to help.
Some solutions are using reusable stuff so we don't throw goods in the ocean anymore. Another solution is getting a team of people to help clean the ocean - at least some of the ocean until we get a more permanent solution. In the future we can make a robo-fish using waterproof circuits and non-rusting metal to help clean the ocean - similar to a drone, but for water. The fish would take the trash up to the surface, where it would be disposed of. Our plan for this project is to design a computer model for putting a fish under the sea and seeing how much trash it can collect. In conclusion, that is our Computer Science Club problem-solving idea. We are doing this project so that we can save the animals, especially endangered species.
