to get that information to us.
It is ESSENTIAL that all participants wishing to go on the tour bring a

The tour of UNM is open to anyone and there isn't a size limit. If you
would prefer the UNM tour over the Sandia tour, email consult1314 at

Teams from Annunciation Catholic School, Aspen Elementary, Los Lunas High,
Miyamura High, and Newcomb High toured UNM.
Description
At UNM, the day will start a demonstration in the
Interdisciplinary Film and Digital Media
Program of student projects. Electronic gaming,
movie making, and digital art are features of the IFDN Program. Next
students will go to the ARTS Lab and visit the gDome, The gDome is based
in a DigitalSky2 system by Sky-Skan, Inc. which employs a cluster of eight
PCs powering six video projectors, sound, and control/interface. A
Fractal presentation will be next followed by Pizza lunch with Computer
Science faculty. The afternoon presentations will be hosted by the
College of Engineering and Computer Science and will include Robotics
projects, Mechanical Engineering's race car lab, plus an overview of the
many options for interesting careers in Engineering. Medical imaging,
computer science, civil engineering and chemical engineering are just a
few of the opportunities.
Meeting Time
Meeting time is at 8:45 am and should be finished around 3:45 pm.
Meeting Place
Meet at IFDM Mesa del Sol, 5700B University W. Blvd., 87106 at 8:45 am.
Parking: At Mesa del Sol, plenty of parking near entrance. You'll get
there by going south on University. If you were to take south I-25, you'd
turn onto the Sunport road and then go south when you get to University.
MdS is down past rental car center and past golf course and past the
International School. If you look at this link it may help you recognize the
building. http://ifdm.unm.edu/facilities
After Mesa del Sol, we'll go back to UNM to CARC at the corner of University
and Central. If you come up Central from I-25, you'll turn left or North onto
University. Take the next left and the next left between UNM central parking
and CARC. Go into CARC and get a parking pass and then go out onto Central.
Go right and right again onto Ash and right again up the hill into the parking
behind CARC. BTW, you'll need to flash a Driver's Licence when picking up pass.
If you are coming on a bus, you may want to park in front of the CARC.
It is right next to UNM Parking control and I think they'll be helpful.
