Housing Market Simulation

Problem:

The prices of houses are going up these days. It makes it hard for people to get houses and live in them.

Importance/Outcome:

When people have to spend too much money on housing, then they can’t afford other necessary items like food and water. Fixing this would decrease homelessness and allow people to be able to get other things.

Plan:

We would make a simulation of the housing market. Changing different variables such as availability and family size, we can identify what the main cause is. By using the right combination of variables, housing can be affordable.

We would do this with a Netlogo simulation, Python, or Matlab.
