    Register & form teams

    Registration opens August 1. Best consideration through September 20; teams may still register through September 30. $40 per student.

    Oct 9, 2026

    Submit a proposal

    Every team submits a short online proposal — no more than 250 words — before Kickoff.

    Oct 10–11, 2026

    Kickoff conference

    Two-day training at New Mexico Tech in Socorro with tutorials, keynotes, and mentors.

    Dec 18, 2026

    Interim report

    Refine your model and submit progress online. January peer review is recommended.

    Feb 6–27, 2027

    Project evaluations

    Share progress at evaluations hosted by universities around the state.

    Mar 1, 2027

    Scholarship applications

    Deadline for graduating participants to apply for scholarships.

    Expo registration

    Register your team for the Expo and Awards Ceremony.

Registration & fees (Aug–Sep 2026)

Registration opens August 1, 2026. For best consideration, complete registration by September 20. Teams may still register through September 30.

Register students and teachers online. Teams should form by September 30.

Team Entry Authorization Form signature sheets should be brought to Kickoff, emailed to consult@supercomputingchallenge.org, or mailed to:

Registration fees ($40/student) can be paid by check, at Kickoff, by mail, via PayPal, or by school purchase order.

Kickoff conference (Oct 10–11, 2026)

At New Mexico Tech in Socorro. Registration 9:00–11:30am Saturday in the Joseph Fidel Student Union lobby. Classes, keynotes, and meals Saturday–Sunday; departing around 1:00 pm Sunday.

Teams attending Kickoff must submit a proposal online before the conference and bring a hard copy. See Proposals.

Proposals (due Oct 9, 2026)

Friday, October 9, 2026: Proposals due — no more than 250 words. See the Proposals page.

Interim reports (due Dec 18, 2026)

Submit online on the Interim Reports page. December 18, 2026 is the due date. January peer review is recommended.

Project evaluations (Feb 6–27, 2027)

Held at universities around the state. See February Evaluations.

Scholarships (due Mar 1, 2027)

March 1, 2027: Scholarship application deadline. See Scholarships.

Finals, Expo & awards (Mar–Apr 2027)
  • March 26, 2027: Expo registration deadline.
  • April 7, 2027 at NOON: Final report due.
  • April 15, 2027: Judges conference call.
  • April 26, 2027: Expo in Los Alamos.
  • April 27, 2027: Awards Ceremony in Los Alamos.
